SoccerWe are a group of people that are aiming at providing useful information about aspects related to performance in soccer. Through many years of experience we have understood the need of doing systematic analysis and carefully plan the training in relation to individual needs. In order to fulfill the main aim, we have written books, developed workshops, videos, and CD-ROMs within the tactical and physical aspects of soccer.

The group consists of:

Jens Bangsbo
Jens Bangsbo Jens Bangsbo is professor at the Institute of Exercise and Sport Sciences, University of Copenhagen, where he achieved his Doctor of Science degree with the thesis "Physiology of Soccer - with special reference to high intense intermittent exercise". He has been acting as a consult for Juventus FC, Italy, and for the past 3 years he has been acting as Assistant Coach at Juventus FC. He has responsible for the planning of the physical training of the Danish National soccer team before the World Cup in 2002 and he was a member of the staff the Danish team in EURO2004. He is FIFA and UEFA instructor. He is the author of a number of books regarding fitness training and tactical aspects of soccer. He is a former professional soccer player, having played more than 400 matches in the Danish top league as well as several matches at the Danish national team. He is member of the International Steering Group on Science and Football.

Peter Krustrup
Peter Krustrup is associated professor at the Institute of Exercise and Sport Sciences, University of Copenhagen. His main research areas are training and testing of elite soccer players and match officials as well as muscle energy turnover during repeated intense exercise. He is a former soccer player with more than 250 matches at a high level in Denmark. He works as physical advisor for a couple of Scandinavian top-teams.

Magni Mohr
Magni Mohr Magni Mohr has a Ph.D. in exercise physiology from the University of Copenhagen. He is specialized in fatigue in soccer and high intensity intermittent exercise as well as fitness training in soccer. He is a former elite soccer player in the Faroese top league. He has been working as an analyzer of activity pattern in soccer for a number of top teams, including Juventus FC. He has been fitness adviser for the Danish national team in the preparation for the World Cup 2002 and been employed by the Danish FA as physical adviser for the Danish top-class referees and by UEFA for the referees in a youngster Euro Cup tournament.

F. Marcello Iaia
F. Marcello IaiaF. Marcello Iaia studied for his Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology under the guidance of Professor Jens Bangsbo at the Department of Exercise and Sport Sciences, University of Copenhagen. He carried out studies focusing on metabolism and the causes of fatigue development during different exercise intensities, as well as performance and skeletal muscle adaptations in response to high-intensity intermittent training, all with special reference to soccer. In the context of football, he played in Italian teams as a youth athlete, and has been fitness trainer and consultant to clubs where he focused on developing individual fitness training in relation to the specific physiological demands of the players. In other sports, he worked as sport scientist in the performance lab of Mapei, the former professional cycling team, and has been acting as coach/ training consultant to some elite Kenyan marathon runners (some of whom took part in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games). He holds a professional licence for Strength and Conditioning Coaching in Football and has been conducting the fitness part of the Pro Licence Course organized by the Asian Football Confederation.

Michele Menozzi
Micele MenozziMichele Menozzi is a specialist in match analysis. He worked for the technical staff and players of the first team of Juventus FC from 2002 to 2007. He also did match analysis for the staff of the Danish team before and during EURO 2004. He has been match analyst consultant for AEK Athens and KFA (Korea Football Association). He is match analyst consultant for some football teams in the italian championships, and consultant for Juventus FC press office. He has been FIGC (Italian Football Federation) Young Footballer Instructor since 1993 and for many years he worked in the italian schools of football. He played more than  300 matches in the Italian semi-professional championships. He took his degree in statistics at the University of Padova.
