During basic physical conditioning, heart rate can be used to control intensity and as a source of motivation. This calculator allows you to calculate the heart rate that corresponds to a specified intensity.
Instructions:
1. Choose whether you want the calculation based on percentage of maximum heart rate or as a percentage of the heart rate reserve.
2. Enter your maximum heart rate. If you don't know it, you kan make a fair guess by using 220 - age.
3. If you have chosen to use percentage heart rate reserve, you also need to enter your resting heart rate.
