Ordinary play where each team attacks and defends a goal. When the coach gives a signal each player has to sprint to one cone (only one player from each team per cone) and back. Area: 2/5 of a soccer field.
Number of players: 2v2 + 2v2 + 2 goalkeepers.
Organisation: Two goals are placed in each end of a 20 x 20 m field. At a distance of 20 meter from each of the sidelines a cone is placed.
Description: Ordinary play where each team attacks and defends a goal. When the coach gives a signal each player has to sprint to one cone (only one player from each team per cone) and back. When the first player returns to the field the game starts again.
Rules: Ordinary rules.
Scoring: Ordinary scoring (see also description).
Time-intervals: 90 s (with 2 sprints) of exercise and 2 min of rest.
Variations:

  1. Man-to-man marking.
  2. Each player has to sprint to one specific cone.
  3. Four cones with two different colours are placed around the field and must be touched in a specific order, e.g. red then yellow.
