| Yo-Yo intermittent recovery test |
|
The Yo-Yo intermittent recovery test focuses on the ability to recover after intense exercise. Between each exercise period (5-15 seconds) there is a 10 second pause. The test is particularly suitable for sports in which the ability to perform intensive exercise after short recovery periods can be decisive for the outcome of a competition, such as badminton, soccer, basketball, rugby and ice-hockey. The test lasts from 2 to 15 minutes.
